With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Emily Hammock Harvill of Oglethorpe, Georgia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Emily Hammock left this world on June 15, 2025 at the age of 102, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. In the vast expanse of eternity, Emily Hammock shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Emily Hammock farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. W. Hammock and Minnie Lou Williams Hammock; her husband Dan Harvill; and her brothers, Everett and George Hammock.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Harvill, Jr. (Shirley), Crystal Pinsky (Martin) and Andy Harvill (Carla). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren and six great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mt. Zion St. Luke Lutheran Church (401 N Randolph St, Oglethorpe, GA 31068). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
