He is survived by: his children, Harold Devaughn Hankerson, Jr. (Lazetta) and Stacey Monique Hankerson-Forsyth (Juan); his former wife Linda Kleckley Hankerson; his grandchildren, Simone Hankerson, Hailey Hankerson, Harold Hankerson, III (Trey), Timberly Mathis and Timothy Mathis (TJ); his sisters, Anna Hankerson Thornton, Loretta Hankerson Bradley and Gwendolyn Hankerson Willis (Julius Mack, Sr.); and his nieces and nephews, Dana Hankerson Dyson (Benjamin), Kenyatta Bradley Francis (Rio), Darron Thornton, Edwin Hankerson (Joy), Julius Mack Willis, Jr. (April) and James Willis. He is also survived by extended family members, relatives, great nieces/nephews.
