With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hayward Lee Leggett of Oglethorpe, Georgia, who passed away on November 23, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Leggett and Lillie Mae Walker-Simmons; his sons, Hayward Lee Leggett, Jr. and Christopher Leon Leggett; and his siblings, Joanne, Katina, Timothy, Arthur, Lewis, Willie Clyde, Linda, Billy, Willie Wes, Virginia, Agnes and Larry Leggett.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Ellison-Leggett; his children, Katina Leggett-Kleckley (Willie) of Warner Robins, Adrian Leggett-Wilson (Cornelius Jr) of Columbus, Pamela Leggett of Americus, Reginald Leggett (Kamilla) and Brittany Leggett-Dollar (Larry) of Warner Robins, Georgia; his grandchildren, Marcus Leggett (Shakeitha), Kendreca Perkins (Danesha Williams-Perkins), Canedra Kleckley, Kayla Maddox (Larrian), Kyree Smith, JaTylon King, Kaleah Kleckley, Cornelius Wilson III, Josiah Turner and Merce Leggett; and his siblings, Christopher Leggett (Gwinlyn) of Oglethorpe, Angela Leggett Mathis (Roy) of Oglethorpe and Janice Leggett (Kerry) of Oglethorpe. He is also survived by ten loving great-grandchildren.
