In the vast expanse of eternity, John Stewart shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Stewart farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Boone and Drs; his sisters, Julia Boyington and Ozelle Robak; and his siblings-in-law, Willie Hunter (Fannie), Mary Walker (Bishop Alphonso), Minnie Burrows (Deacon Joseph), Dr. Reather Waller (Minister Charles) and Rosa Jackson.
Viewing was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Meadows Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel (607 Kaigler St, Oglethorpe, GA 31068). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.
