He was predeceased by: his parents, Billie Johnson and Edna Mae Ginn Johnson; and his siblings, Robert Johnson, Joyce Neese and Clara Ross.

He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Howell Johnson of Omega; his children, Freida (Frank Edwards), Lee (Stacie Johnson), Nancy Strayer (Dale Fowler) and Chris Johnson of Omega; and his siblings, William Johnson of Valdosta, Howard Johnson of Tifton, Ashley Johnson of Omega, Billie Joe Johnson of Tampa, Royce Allen Johnson of Brandon, Florida, Carolyn Riley of Plant City, Florida and Sara Sutton of Plant City, Florida. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family has requested that no flowers be sent – just bait a hook.
