He was predeceased by: his parents, Verna Lee McCrary and John David Bennett (J. D.) of Crosland, Georgia.; and his siblings, Jackie Bennett Lynch and Billy Joe Bennett. He is survived by: his children, Josh Bennett and Katrina Bennett Bush (George); his grandchildren, Kaya River Bennett and Tyson Bush; his siblings, Joy Imel, Jerry Bennett (Sandra), Jane Nutt (Bobby), Julian Bennett (Linda), Tony Bennett (Mary), Phyllis Bennett Dartlone and John Bennett (Mona); and his sister-in-law Margie Bennett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
