She was predeceased by: her parents, Mannon Martin and Ethel Martin; her son Charles William Brooking; and her brothers, Mannon Martin, Jr., Bill Martin and Joe Martin.
She is survived by: her husband Chessie B. Brooking, Jr.; her children, Lynn Olzacki (Zack), Carol Moody (David) and Tina Brooking Kitchens (Jim); her grandchildren, Stacy (Lonnie), Ryan, Christopher, Joshua (Lauren), Dustin (Shannon), Delani (Gabe) and Darci; her great grandchildren, Noah, Ryder, Jaden (Macie), Haley, Elyn, Shiloh, Saylor, Brooks, Evelyn, Kyson, Kash and Kendall; and her siblings, Donald Martin (Annette), Mary Jane Howard, Fred Martin (Judy) and Judy Whitley. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at 10119 Access Rd, Covington, GA 30014. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at the Oxford Historical Cemetery.
