With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Johnson Russ of Oxford, Georgia, who passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Ronald Russ; her son Andrew Vernon Russ; and her parents, Hallie Johnson and Beulah Burrow Johnson. She is survived by: her daughter Marilyn Longo; her grandchildren, Chrissy, Speedy Gonzalez and Andrea Russ; her great grandchildren, Trinity Thibodoux (Robbie), Kaylinn Gonzalez, Ireland Gonzalez, Eli Ertel, Luke Ertel and Isaac Ertel; her brother Ervin; her sister-in-law Linda Johnson; her sister Phyllis; and her brother-in-law Larry Ertel.
