He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin James and Ina Johnson Hickox; his daughter Elizabeth Hickox Sharpe; and his siblings, Mary Jane Heath, Julia Lawton, Annie Scott, William Hickox, Russell Hickox and Steven Mitchell "Stevie" Hickox.
He is survived by: his wife Melinda Hickox; his children, Nicholas Hickox (Kimberly Teston) and Veronica Hickox (Savannah); his stepdaughters, April Shook (Doug) of Douglas and Abryana Tyre of Douglas; his grandchildren, Bill Sharpe, Jr., Taylor Sharpe, Mikell Whitt, Jr., James Hickox, Timothy Hickox and Jason Hickox; his great grandchild River Wade Sharpe; and his siblings, Glenda Hickox, Alma, Kathleen Gill (Marvin), J. D. Hickox, Wendell Hickox of Florida, Clayton Hickox (Tracy), Glen St, Layton Hickox (Petra) and Michael Hickox (Lana). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hart Funeral Home (210 Johnson St, Blackshear, GA 31516). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel (210 Johnson St, Blackshear, GA 31516).
