He was predeceased by: his parents, James Randall Boyette, Sr. and Vinnie Ruth Byrd Boyette; his wife Wanda Louise Dean Boyette; and his siblings, Martha Jean Watford, Margaret Jane McDuffie and James Randall "Buddy" Boyette, Jr..
He is survived by: his children, Misty Boyette Smith of Waycross and Phillip Morris (Amanda) of Waycross; his grandchildren, Kearston Smith, Jaxon Smith, Mathew Smith, Austin Morris (Kristen), Braden Morris (Stella), Christina Jordan (John), Maia Beverley and Madison Fisher; and his sisters, Jewlene Sweat (late Shelby) of Brantley County, Mary Beverley (Merrell) of Manor, Colleen Taylor (Benny) of Blackshear and Darlene Griffin (Terry) of Blackshear. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
