He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawson Coleman Bennett, Sr. and Gladys McNeal Bennett; his son Ricky Bennett; his stepmother Dorean Taylor Bennett; and his siblings, Herman Bennett, Jimmy Bennett, Hershel Bennett, Ronnie Bennett, Lucille Jacques, Martha Sue Bennett, Betty (Smith), Linda Newham and Christine Bennett.
He is survived by : his wife Joan Bennett of Pearson; his children, Sherry Herrin (Roy) of Homerville and David Bennett (Donna) of Tifton; his siblings, Coleman Bennett, Jr. of Texas, Frankie Bennett of Jacksonville, Norma June Fort of North Carolina and Eva Osbourne of Atkinson Community; and his grandchildren, Kelly Barrett, Jason Bennett, Chris Bennett, Codi Bennett, Mandy Tarver, Kailee Bennett, Leslie Bennett, Scott Bennett and Andy Bennett. He is also survived by Several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
