Walt C. Bernier Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walt C. Bernier of Pelham, Georgia, who passed away on June 7, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Corbin Bernier and Alphonse Thomas Bernier; his wife Beverly; and his son Mike. He is survived by: his sons, Blake Bernier (Tonya) of Macon, GA and Jeff Bernier (Ashley) of Johns Creek, GA.; his grandchildren, Mitch Berner (Brayanna) of Camilla, GA, Sarah Bernier of New York, NY, Nicholas Bernier of Johns Creek, GA, Natalie Bernier of Jefferson, GA and Noah Bernier of Macon, GA.; his great grandchildren, Olivia Bernier, Charlotte Bernier of Camilla, GA, Maverick Fitzhugh and Mattis Fitzhugh of Jefferson, GA.; and his brother Gerard Bernier (Barbara) of Camilla, GA..

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Willis Jamerson Braswell Funeral Home (176 Hand Ave W, Pelham, GA 31779). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hand Memorial United Methodist Church (266 Hand Ave W, Pelham, GA 31779). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Pinecrest Memory Gardens (3464 US-19, Pelham, GA 31779).

In lieu of flowers, all gifts in memory of Walt may be made to Hand Memorial United Methodist Church and to the First Baptist Church of Pelham.
