He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertie Ennis Purvis and Troy Lee Purvis; and his siblings, Jimmy Purvis, Donnie Purvis, Troy Purvis, Jr., Ardie Purvis and Linda Woods.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Perrow Purvis of Savannah; his son Rick; his daughter-in-law Jan Purvis of St. Simons Island; his daughter Jeani C.; his son-in-law Edgar Hayman of Bloomingdale; his brother Kenneth Aubrey; his sister-in-law Barbara Purvis of Savannah; and his grandson Troy Marshall Purvis of Santa Clara, CA. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
