He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Byer and Julia Ann Norris Byer; and his brother Chris Byer. He is survived by: his sons, Jason Byer of Alabama and Andrew Byer (Melissa) of Rockland, ME; his brothers, Craig Byer (Tomoko) of Ohio and Scott Byer of Michigan; and his sibling-in-law Gene Conley of Pembroke. He is also survived by the numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
