He was predeceased by: his parents, J. E. Strickland and Nell Strickland; and his siblings, Barbara Strickland and Gerald Strickland. He is survived by: his sister Edna Allen; his wife Edna Allen Strickland; his children, Mark Strickland (Victoria) and Sherri Cunningham (Guy); his sisters, Linda Strickland Tillinger and Brenda Covington (Thomas); his grandsons, Jeremy Strickland (Rachel) and Jonathan Strickland; and his great grandchildren, Jason Strickland and Sarah Strickland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
