She was predeceased by: her husband Lucius Wright; and her children, Essie Black and Bobby White. She is survived by: her children, Dwight Anthony "Mustafa" LaVant of Tamarac, Florida and Ethel White (Connie Turner McLeod) of Miami, Florida; her sisters-in-law, Frances Hueston of Valdosta and Clara Braddock of Miami, Florida; and her goddaughters, Glenda Brown of Silver Spring, Maryland, Jeanette Henley of Marianna, Florida and Verna Petterson of Miami. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church (2315 Beautiful Zion Church Rd, Pembroke, GA 31321).
