As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Mildred Powell may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Herb and Carrie B. Powell; her daughter Melissa Ann Newcity; and her son-in-law Mark Newcity. She is survived by: her daughter Sara Blair (Wallace) of Brooklet; and her siblings, Millerd Herb (Theresa) of Pembroke, John Henry (Diane) of Pembroke, Joyce Satchell of Washington State and Angie Roberts of Pembroke. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 14 greatgrandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Flanders Powell Funeral Home (197 S College St, Pembroke, GA 31321). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
