He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest J. Douglas and Mary Akins Douglas; his wife Diana Daghir Douglas; and his siblings, Jackie Cooler (Louie) and Harvey Douglas (Sonya).

He is survived by: his daughter Brendale Perkins (David) of Brooksville; and his siblings, Anna "Trudie" Carter of Ellabell, Joey Douglas of Savannah and Leon Douglas of Silver Springs. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
