With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Alice Avant of Pembroke, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on January 22, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Pinkney Lamar Rogers and Mary Louise Etheridge Rogers; and her siblings, Charles, Thomas Rogers and Betty Jean Holton.

She is survived by : her daughters, Lisa (Jeff Brannen), Kimberly (Joe Burnsed), Stephanie (Rodrigo Quijada) and Tonya (Brad Stai); her brother James Rogers of Pooler; and her grandchildren, Ainsley Byington, Aaron Burnsed, Kirstie Ranslam, Corey Emeott, Donovan Stai and Hannah Stai. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bright Animal League.
