With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shorty Scheider of Pembroke, Georgia, born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on December 15, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Herbert Farrell Scheider; his former life partner June Scheider; his stepfather Porter D. Saxon; his stepchildren, Lisa Hall, Matthew Cannon and Johnny Cannon; and his siblings, Alma Saxon, Elizabeth Saxon and David Eugene Saxon.

He is survived by : his wife Virginia A. Scheider; his sons, Anthony Scheider and William Henry "Ricky" Scheider, Jr. (Kathy); his stepchildren, Karmen Duncan (Terrell) and Derren Hill (Ingrid); and his siblings, Richiedean Williams (David) and Donnie Saxon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to Fellowship Primitive Baptist Church, 9566 Mud Road, Brooklet, GA 30415.
