He is survived by: his close friend Linda Kinsey; his sons, Thomas Padgett, Robert "Bobby" Padgett (Carla), Stephen Padgett, William "Dean" Padgett (Melissa), Michael Padgett and Ted Padgett; and his sister Clara Hand. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
