He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Ogden Moon, Sr. and Louise Cook Moon; his wife Fay Donaldson Moon; and his siblings, Clyde Tallent, Roy Tallent and Barbara Jones.

He is survived by: his sons, Donald Moon (Carol) of Jefferson, Tim Moon (Patty) of Gainesville, Steve Moon (Tammy) of Gainesville, Mike Moon (Sandra) of Gainesville and Lee Moon (Tammy) of Lula; and his grandchildren, Eli Moon, Caleb Moon, Luke Moon, Jonathan Moon, Charlie Moon, Adam Moon and Jarrett Warren. He is also survived by Thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and eight brothers and sisters in laws.
