Howard Cooper Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Howard Cooper of Pendergrass, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herschel Cooper and Era Oliver Cooper; his wife Carolyn Prestridge Cooper; and his brothers, Wiley and Michael Cooper.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Brown (Randall) of Pendergrass and Betsy Garner (Joel) of Buford; his grandchildren, Melissa Thomas (Chris) of Pendergrass and Eric Garner of Buford; his great grandchildren, Breelan Thomas and Braylee Thomas of Pendergrass; and his brother Larry Cooper (Brenda) of LaFayette.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 12th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home (1350 Winder Hwy, Jefferson, GA 30549). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at the Talmo Baptist Church Cemetery (475 Main St, Talmo, GA 30575).
