She was predeceased by: her husband Willie J. Tyson of Tifton; her parents, Lynn August Pitzer and Alice Opal Stebbins Pitzer; her brothers, Richard Pitzer, Grubby Pitzer, James Pitzer and Floyd Pitzer; her siblings-in-law, Gloria Pitzer, Betty Pitzer, Irene Tyson Self, Loree Long, Carlton Tyson, Floyd Tyson and James Self; and her daughter-in-law Ramona Tyson.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony "Tony" Tyson (Greta) of Colbert, GA, Betsy Tyson Flanders (Reuben) of Waycross, GA and Jody Tyson Strickland (Edmond) of Perry, GA; her grandchildren, Travis Tyson (Brianna) of Dallas, GA, Emily Tyson Zeiser (Eric) of Comer, GA, Justin Tyson (Casie) of Danielsville, GA, Nathan Tyson (Megan) of Statesboro, GA, Lindsey Flanders Ganas (Beau) of Landrum, SC, Tyler Flanders (Alei) of Waycross, GA, Tyson Strickland (Anna) of Comer, GA, Morgan Strickland Grizzle (Gordon) of Perry, GA and Samantha Strickland Lineberger (Luke) of Perry, GA; her sister Laura Long; and her sisters-in-law, Billie Tyson, Wanda Tyson, Claudine Pitzer and Renee Pitzer. She is also survived by 27 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
