He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Powell and Margaret Braswell Powell; his grandparents, William and Delia Ethridge Powell; and his wife Beverly Powell.
He is survived by: his sons, Billy Powell, Jr. (Cindy) of Canton and Tim Powell (Judy) of Dahlonega; his grandchildren, Ashtyn Sumner (Christian), Alyssa Schmidt (Caleb), Jacob Powell, Eli Powell (Lydia) and Jordan Powell; his brother Dwayne Powell (Charlene) of Bartow, Florida; and his niece Lisa Haslam (David).
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Perry Methodist Church (1002 Carroll St, Perry, GA 31069). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Evergreen Cemetery (720 Main St, Perry, GA 31069).
