She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry and Evelyn Libby Miller; her brothers, George Miller (Barbara Miller) and Dan Miller (Pat Miller); and her sister-in-law Donna Miller.

She is survived by: her husband J. W. Dempsey, Jr. of Perry; her children, Donna Davis (Wayne) of Columbia, SC, Diane Walker (Richard) of Martinez, GA and John Dempsey (Rebecca) of Grovetown, GA; and her siblings, Lily Miller of Perry and Mike Miller of Suffolk, VA.
