We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2022, at the age of 83, Edna Fortner Melvin (Perry, Georgia), born in Henderson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Fortner and Maude Higgins Fortner; her sister Peggy Burris; her children, Maggie Costello and John Thomas "Tom" Costello; and her husband Jewel Monroe "Mel" Melvin.
She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Hoisington (Robin "Rob" Hartley) of Perry; her stepsons, Sean Melvin of San Diego and Kevin Melvin of Phoenix, Arizona; and her grandsons, Matt Hoisington of Warner Robins, Michael Costello of Orlando, Nathaniel Costello (Crystal) of Byron, R. J and Clayton Hartley (Stephanie).
