With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gene Speicher (Perry, Georgia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Speicher and Lorraine Wagner Speicher; his siblings, Harold Speicher and Betty Jo Thompson; his son Franklin Eugene Speicher, Jr.; his granddaughter Christie McConnell; and his sister Helen McCallister.
He is survived by: his children, David Stephenson (Deirdre) of Plains, Dale Stephenson of Murfreesboro, TN, Diana Reynolds (Jimmy "Buster") of Gray and Donnie Stephenson (Tammie) of Perry; his siblings, Calvin Speicher (Rose) of Auburndale, FL and Dale Speicher (Carole) of Florida; and his daughter-in-law Lisa Speicher. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Watson - Hunt Funeral Home (1208 Main St, Perry, GA 31069). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at the Perry Memorial Gardens (2106 US Hwy 41, Perry, GA 31069).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
