George Marvin Franklin Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 14, 2022, at the age of 95, George Marvin Franklin of Perry, Georgia, born in Hawkinsville, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Russell Franklin and Lillian Oakley Franklin; and his wife Maggie Collier Franklin. He is survived by: his children, George Marvin Franklin, Jr. (Mary Kay) and Sheila Elaine Durham (Steve); his grandchildren, Dee Ann Owens (Chris), Lisa Duke (Jason), Steven Durham (Ilia), Beth Bernard (Adam) and Kyle Franklin (Katie); his great grandchildren, Austin Duke, Hunter Duke, Cole Duke, Maggie Duke, Rhett Durham, Slate Bernard, Statton Bernard, Skyleigh Bernard, Kendall Franklin, Ethan Franklin and Sadie Franklin; and his great great grandchild Lucas Duke.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, funeral arrangements are still incomplete at this time and will be announced by Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born February 28, 1926 in Hawkinsville, he was a son of the late John Russell Franklin and the late Lillian Oakley Franklin.
