It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Laverne Payne of Perry, Georgia, who passed away on July 20, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John H. Denton and Aurelia Arrowsmith Denton; her husband Rev. Harry Payne Sr.; and her son Kenneth "Kenny" Payne. She is survived by : her children, Harry, Angie Payne, Dale and Nettie Payne; and her siblings, Edward Kersey, Bobby Kersey and Gloria Breedwell. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
