He was predeceased by: his parents, Erma Moody (Norris) and Orville Moody; his son Michael Todd Moody; and his siblings, Tom Moody, Ed Moody and Margaret Rodgers (Moody).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Moody (Holly) of Fayetteville; his children, Jim Moody, Jr. of Atlanta and Holly Moody Melton (Jayson) of Monroe; his grandchildren, Rebecca Moody, Ashley Moody, Hunter Melton and Hayden Melton; his daughter-in-law Sandi Moody; his brother Bob Moody; and his siblings-in-law, Katie Moody and Alvie Rodgers. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
