He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Howard and Lucile Shirah Howard; and his brothers, Milton Howard and Raymond Howard. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Meadows Howard; his daughter Lori; his son-in-law Michael Anderson; his son Mike; his daughter-in-law Lori Wills Howard; his grandchildren, Dustin Abbott, Brent Abbott (CJ), Brittany Noles (Jimmy), Michael Howard and Amanda Kirkland (Jeff); and his great grandchildren, Billy Howard, Clarissa Abbott and Luke Kirkland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 27th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Watson - Hunt Funeral Home (1208 Main St, Perry, GA 31069). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Haynesville (2953 US-341, Hawkinsville, GA 31036).
Flowers will be gratefully accepted, or contributions may be made to Jay's HOPE Childhood Cancer Foundation in honor of his great-granddaughter, Clarissa Abbott, who won the battle and is now cancer free.
