It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lewis Meeks (Perry, Georgia), who passed away on July 7, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lewis Meeks to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Morgan Meeks, Sr. and Eva Sumner Meeks; and his siblings, Melvin M. Meeks, Jr. and Elizabeth M. Schoonover. He is survived by: his wife June Norsworthy Meeks; his daughters, Deborah Eva Long (David), Lisa Maria Meeks and Laura Lynn Carter (Lance); and his grandchildren, Daniel Sumner Long, Andrew Lewis Long, Alek Zachariah Carter, Samuel Seth Carter and Anna Camille Carter. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Evergreen Cemetery (720 Main St, Perry, GA 31069).
