With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Russell Allen Barnes of Perry, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Russell find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry Barnes and Ruth Barnes (Franklin). He is survived by: his wife Eunice Barnes (Spires); his son Kevin Barnes (Jennifer); his stepchildren, Gary Lynn, Connie Adams (Chris), Lisa Lawhorn and Kim Murrah; and his sister Joyce Jeritz. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
