She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Hardy and Virginia Randall (Morrell); and her former husband James Earl Hunter, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Nikki Johnson of Grand Bay, Alabama; her stepsons, Jason Hunter (Georgia) of Butler, Tabb Hunter (Georgia) of Reynolds and Brandon Hunter of Reynolds, Georgia; her granddaughter Hailey Johnson of Grand Bay; her fiancé Donald Keith Melcher of Perry, Georgia; and her siblings, Rita Faye Hardy of Cordele, Georgia and Bradley Hardy of Reynolds, Georgia. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Burpee-Scott Memorial Chapel (2932 US Hwy 41, Fort Valley, GA 31030). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
