He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Nelson Porter and Leona Russell Porter Evans; and his daughter Tamara Porter. He is survived by: his wife Julia Porter of Pine Mountain; his children, Jolene Fishbeck, Jamilee Porter-Schaffer and J. R. Schaffer; and his half-sister Penny Bailey (Bob). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
