She was predeceased by : her parents, Bascom B. Speight and Artie Lynch Speight; her son Rudy Maples; and her siblings, Harold Speight and Mary S. McKinley.

She is survived by : her children, Tommy Maples (Joanne) of Danbury, CT, Kirby Maples (Denise) of Macon, Michael Maples (Nan) of Acworth, Marcia Moore (Johnny) of Unadilla and Ann Carter (Thad) of Cordele.
