He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lucas Griffin, Jr. and Alice Cheek Griffin; and his brother Bob Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Athielia T. Griffin of Pinehurst; his children, George L. Griffin, IV of Bethesda, MD, Nick Griffin of Atlanta, Haley Griffin of Atlanta and Victoria Griffin of Atlanta; and his grandchildren, Elliott Griffin and Elodie Griffin.
