He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Taylor and Louise Ross Thompson; and his siblings, Theodore, Ronald Thompson and Barbara Thompson Livingston.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Thompson; his children, Brian Thompson (Brooke) of Pitts, Georgia and Crystal Bennett (Bryan) of Homerville, Georgia; and his grandchildren, Haven Dorman (Tyler) of Chula, Georgia, Ava Thompson of Pitts, Georgia, Weston Bennett, Abbie Bennett and Brady Bennett of Homerville, Georgia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
