He was predeceased by: his parents, Esko Ellison and Louise Ellison; his siblings, David Ellison, Elizabeth Makinen and Esko Ellison, Jr.; his son-in-law Charles Anthony "Tony" Truett; and his great grandchild Katrina Russell.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cravitz Ellison; his daughters, Kathy Layne (Stanley), Tammy Monroe (Johnny), Connie Garrett (Jeff) and Joy Woods (Keith); and his grandchildren, Michael Layne (Katie), Lora Batchelor (Marcus), Kaylan Moore (John Paul), Brandon Woods (Brittany), Bradley Woods (Jordan), Amber Monroe, Morgan Craft (Cale), Maureen Truett and Mary Truett.
