He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Donavan and Atha Donavan; his brother Jerry Donavan (Judy Donavan); his granddaughter Kristy Donavan; his son-in-law Daniel Yost; and his nephew Richard Donavan (Larry Fox).

He is survived by : his wife Judy Donavan; his children, Mike Donavan of Pataskala and Connie Yost of Pooler, Georgia; his grandchildren, Ryan, Rebecca Donavan of Pataskala, Jonathan, Kim Donavan of Ludowici, Joe and Jen Cheslik of Columbus, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Nate, Chloe, Taylor, Gavin, Carter, Alex, Pheobe, Kaylee, Jasmin, Jaylyn, Carson, Eternity, JaShawn, Zyler, Marcel and Nora; and his siblings, James Donavan (Karen) of Florida, Judy Whipple of Ohio and Joyce Klema of Florida.
