He is survived by: his wife Mae Jean Johnson; his children, Max Johnson and Wanda Johnson Lanning (Robert); his stepchildren, Andrew Chester (Cathy), Ronald Chester (Lori), Wayne Chester (Bonnie) and Lynn Smith; his grandchildren, Ricky Verriest, Miles Erickson, Deanna Erickson, Jason Johnson and Jessica Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Chester, Sarah Lewis, Kate Sexton, Ashley Warren, Emily Chester, Bridgett Smith and Jessica Chester; his great grandchildren, Micah Erickson, Milee Erickson, Savannah Johnson and Little Max Johnson; and his brother Carl Dick Collins. He is also survived by fourteen step-great-grandchildren.
