She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Lester Bedgood and Marlene Bedgood. She is survived by: her husband Robert E. Payton; and her sisters, Grace Lunsford (Greg), Marsha Shadley, Janice Covington, Joan Rowan, Helen Zapata (Manfredo) and Denise Aduku (Destiny). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Homes – West Chatham Chapel (901 US-80, Pooler, GA 31322). A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
