He is survived by: his wife Mary Augustine Riner Scarboro; his children, William Raymond Scarboro (Michele) of Anderson, Mary Melinda Dillon (Mark) of Keysville, Georgia and Janet Marie Musgrove (Melvin) of Chapin; his grandchildren, Randall J. Carter, Melissa Ann Carter, Frances Ann Musgrove, Andrew Musgrove and Jenna Scarboro; and his great grandchildren, Rylan Carter, Raina Carter, Bailey Carter, Bryce Ohlsson and Lydia Mallach. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
