He is survived by : his wife Desiree Hackett; his children, Matthew Ergas of Powder Springs, GA and Sara Hackett of Powder Springs, GA; his parents, Ken Hackett and Vickie Hackett of White, GA; his siblings, Kenny Hackett of Powder Springs, GA, Haley Hall (Chris) of Powder Springs, GA and Kassie Hill of White, GA; and his grandparents, Betty Mozley of Powder Springs, GA and Harry Hackett of Roswell, GA. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel (3940 Macland Rd, Powder Springs, GA 30127). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Daniel's Memory.
