She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Willis Fortune and Gencie Hutto Fortune; her husband Paul Terry Raymond Chitty; and her sisters, Miriam Garner, Nina Mae Birch, Mary Clyde Rowland and Frances Luke.

She is survived by: her children, Palmetto and Esther Price (Will); her grandchildren, Jeanette Wheeler, Jesse, Joel, Claire, Mykela and Kyle; her son Walter Thompson of Myakka Florida; her grandchildren, Olivia Thompson, Matthew Thompson Michael Ketcham (Meleah), Coby, Caymin, Mason, Chelsie and Macy; her daughter Lista Lees (Tom) of Oklahoma City, OK; her grandchildren, Ginger Cranford (David), Tommy Lees (Leticia), Robin and Taylor; her daughter Paula Maggio of Batesville, Arkansas.; her grandchildren, Daniella Bergstrom (Christopher), Hunter, Mya, Christopher, Kaitlin and Emily; her son Edward Chitty (Diem) of Parrish; and her grandchildren, Melissa Green, Layne and Lillian.
