It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Thompson of Powder Springs, Georgia, who passed away on December 6, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Mary C. Thompson of Powder Springs, GA; his children, George Thompson, Jr. (Paula), Patrick Thompson (Clarissa) and Kesha Sheffield (John); his siblings, James Lee Thompson, Alma Lee Bowen (John) and Marie Hyatt (Robert); and his stepchildren, Lakia and Jeremy Clarke. He is also survived by four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
