He was predeceased by: his parents, John Aaron Hicks, Sr. and Ada Era Brewer Hicks; his wife Nellie Louise Ware Hicks; his sisters, Martha Sue Johnson Daniels and Carolyn Barfield; his son-in-law Richard L. Moore; and his daughter Robbi Jeanine Hicks-Wylie.
He is survived by: his daughter Sherri L. Moore; his grandchildren, Brian Jones (Susanna) of Powder Springs, Jessica Matthews (Ron) of Dallas, Jennifer Keith (Lee) of Georgetown, Jonathan Moore (Kelli) of Marietta, Denver Wyllie (Mary Frances) of Macon, Jason Moore (Barbara), Bryan Moore (Nicole) of Houston and Christie Patton (Jarrod) of Atlanta Georgia; and his sister Betty Duggar (Don) of Carrollton Georgia. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
