He is survived by: his children, Joseph Allen Postell of Dallas, GA, Shannon Leigh Postell of Douglasville, GA, Whitney (Sonya Postell) and Johnny A. Postell, Jr. (Jennifer) of Kennesaw, GA; his siblings, Doug Postell (Carolyn) of Andrews, NC, Sandy Moore (Harry) of Orlando, FL, Butch Postell (Judy) of Andrews, NC, Ginger McClure of Andrews, NC and Shelby Younce (Nelson) of Murphy, NC; and his grandchildren, Lexi, Landon, Caroline, David and Tyler.
