He was predeceased by: his parents, J. D. Masters and Laura Linn Masters; and his grandson Melvin Linn Masters, III. He is survived by: his wife Deborah A. Masters; his sons, Melvin Linn Masters, Jr., James Douglas Adams (Candace Owens) and Benjamin Sidney Adams (Jennifer Leach); his brothers, Jeffery D. Masters (Diane Sanders) and Randy Masters (Sarah); his grandchildren, Savannah, Hayden, Dillon, Kayde, Kara, Garrett of Autumn, A. J., William and Stevie; and his great grandchild Preston.
